Mini-residency for Long Island students
Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 in Sayville
and Wednesday September 26th, 2007 in Brentwood

Before their performance on Saturday, September 29th, the acclaimed ensemble, The American Brass Quintet with pianist Billy Childs will be presenting a mini-residency for the music students and general public of Long Island.

Designed to offer young groups and individuals an intense chamber music experience over several days, ABQ mini-residencies have been embraced by schools and communities throughout the United States and internationally. The ABQ will present two mini-residencies at local Islip Township schools.

The first program will be held on Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Auditorium at Sayville High School, Brook Street, Sayville. The contact person is Neil Bernstein, Music Director for Sayville Schools; the phone number is (631) 244 -6643

The residency program is presented in co-operation with the New York State Music Fund and the Islip Arts Council.

The residency program is open to the public, and music students are encouraged to attend.
